【物語5】ゲンとユイ、社内表彰パーティーで新製品ネーミングを議論
キャンペーンの大成功で、ゲンとユイは社内のevent（イベント）でサプライズ表彰を受けることになった。
パーティー会場には経営陣や同僚が勢揃いし、 ゲンはプロジェクト管理のassignment（任務）で 高いevaluation（評価）を受け、 ユイはマーケティングのinitiative（主導権）を発揮して売上に大きく貢献した。
ところが祝賀ムードの最中、役員から思わぬ一言が飛んだ。
「ところで、今回の美顔器のネーミングはどうするつもりだ？社内にはいろんな案があるが、最後のdecision（決定）は君たちだ。」
と、突然の振りに、ユイはグラスを握り直し、ゲンと目を合わせた。
「今決めろってことですか？！」周囲の同僚たちもざわつき出す。急に場が張り詰める中、ゲンが小声で提案した。
「候補は三つあったよな。Glowin（グローイン）、LUMINA（ルミナ）、Eterna（エテルナ）…それぞれのconcept（コンセプト）をここで説明してみよう。」
しかし、そのときプロジェクターが突然フリーズするというハプニング！
予定していたスライド資料が映らない。
ユイは咄嗟にスマホを出して即席で写真をスクリーンに投影し直し、
会場にimpact（衝撃）を与える形で候補をプレゼンした。
「Glowinは輝きを生む、LUMINAは光を象徴する、Eternaは永遠の美しさを意味します。」
役員たちは唸り、会場にはどよめきが走る。「さすがだ、切り抜けたな…」
ゲンは安堵の笑みを浮かべた。
「君たちならこの美顔器を必ずヒットさせるだろう。」社長の言葉に、二人はお互いに頷き合った。
次のgoal（目標）は、量産試作とモニター試験の成功だ——
二人は会場のざわめきを背に、新たな挑戦を心に誓った。
Story: Gen and Yui at the Company Award Party
The campaign was a great success, and Gen and Yui were given a surprise award at an internal event.
The management team and colleagues gathered at the party, and Gen received a high evaluation for his project management assignment, while Yui showed initiative in marketing and contributed greatly to sales.
However, in the midst of the celebratory mood, an unexpected comment was made by an executive.
“By the way, what are you planning to name this beauty device? There are many ideas within the company, but the final decision is up to you guys.”
Abruptly asked, Yui re-grabbed her glass and met Gen’s eyes.
“You want us to decide now?!” The surrounding colleagues began to get noisy. As the atmosphere suddenly became tense, Gen made a whispered suggestion.
“There were three candidates, right? Glowin, LUMINA, Eterna… I’ll explain the concept of each one here.”
But then the projector suddenly froze!
The planned slide presentation didn’t show.
Yui quickly took out her smartphone and quickly reprojected the photos onto the screen,
presenting the candidates in a way that made an impact on the audience.
“Glowin creates radiance, LUMINA symbolizes light, and Eterna means eternal beauty.”
The executives groaned, and a murmur ran through the hall. “As expected, you got through it…”
Gen smiled with relief.
“I’m sure you two will make this beauty device a hit.” The two nodded to each other at the president’s words.
Their next goal is to successfully complete mass production prototypes and monitor tests. With the hustle and bustle of the venue behind them, the two vowed to take on this new challenge.
